Hi my name is Crystal, i'm 22 years old , about 50 pounds over weight, and I am just starting to hear the buzz about this power 90 thing. I saw the informercial for p90x and I thought wow that might really work, but even from the informercials I could tell that this was no easy feat. So i did some research and stumbled upon power 90 a more modified version of the MONSTER 90x. I really want to lose weight, just seven months ago I was 18 pounds lighter and a little happier. But i met my boyfriend and we just go out to eat all the time and he is always making me these wonderful deserts and I have just gotten way off of track. I saw this blog and thought that this is a wonderful thing you all are doing and was hoping if you would take a sad puppy like myself in as i go through my first initial 90 day trail.

Come on in! I think you are right to go after Power90 instead of P90x based on you description of where you are and Bobby's description of his current grueling workouts. As has been pointed out, it doesn't really matter WHAT you do as long as you DO IT. There are a million different workouts to choose from. Tae Bo is cool, maybe you like Sweatin to the Oldies or something else.
I can tell you that if you do Power 90 and you stick with it, you will see results right away. Same with TaeBo (Billy Banks), or couch to 5k or anything.
So figure out what you are going to do, October first is right around the corner and then do it....keep us posted.

Power 90 would be perfect to start. I did it like 4 complete 90 days before I jumped into this p90x thing. Here is the trick with power 90 or any program. Do it all. If you miss a day, hop right back on. Commit and do it no matter how sore you are. Look for reasons as to why to move forward. That voice that says stop.... Tell him/her to shut up. The results will come. The diet will be forced to improve as you can not keep working at this pace and continue in your poor eating habits. Why would you work out this hard and let it all go away for a slice of cheesecake. I think the diet is 80% of the deal. A glass of wine can be 175 calories. 3 glasses and you have just erased all your hard work. Give yourself the gift of doing something for 90 days and you will be amazed before you are half way through. I guarantee it! If you have any concerns or questions feel free to call me. I am 41 and in the best shape of my life because of these stupid videos! If this old dog can do it you surely can! Good luck and keep pushing play no matter what!!!!!

On day 12! Not quite as sore or as intimidated as I was. I think I can do this thing! I highly recommend power 90 before p90x. Any power 90 people still on board??????

Still looking for an "unopened box" OR used copy to purchase... anybody know of someone looking to part with/loan out theirs?

You may look on ebay. Make sure you get the complete package. The entire program is important. It's not just the DVD's. You have the bands, calendars, help books, etc. Good luck and I will keep my eyes open.

Thank you all so much for the encouraging words I think I will get started as soon as I can spare the extra sixty bucks and money for healthy food (its so sad that I am a broke college student!) But I will keep you all posted, and it should be about two weeks until i get started. I am so excited and I hope that my motivation doesnt pizzle out as I begin the workouts! Thanks again

Me! I got a little lost for a while, there. All the usual excuses--life gets in the way, you know? So I was only doing it, like, every third day... But I'm back in the game now!
