Redd's Fueling Station - Fill Up On Great Food and Entertainment

July 12, 2013 by Jill Tanner

Redd’s Fueling Station is the newest little place in South Walton where everyone knows your name. Situated just behind Sally’s By the Sea Store in Blue Mountain Beach, this restaurant is bursting at the seams with entertainment. After opening the first week in July, there is a major local following of friends, locals and fans of Redd the Singing Bartender.

Redd's ability to serenade you while she works is a feat on its own, but the fact she does both with skill takes it to another level. Redd’s Fueling Station is open Monday through Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until at least 10:00 p.m. (later depending on the crowd) with a great selection of made-from-scratch menu items for every palate.

One fan favorite is Redd’s Hot and Saucy Salsa and Tortilla chips – the perfect starter. Make sure to try the High Octane Nachos with cheese, black beans, spicy sausage, jalapenos, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole and salsa. One special menu item that everyone seems to love right now is the Devils on Horseback made with a pitted date stuffed with specially prepared garlic, then wrapped in bacon, pierced with a toothpick, glazed and baked until the bacon is crispy. The full menu of appetizers, entrees, and sides has become a huge hit very quickly and the great selection of beer and wine flow from the bar.

Helen "Redd" is a professional singer and television personality and has made frequent appearances on 30a TV, QTV News, New Years Eve celebrations on CNN, spent a week on the Weather Channel as the "Weather Wannabe Queen" and has performed in Las Vegas. Redd has been singing since she could see herself in the mirror and now she has a place of her own to perform and share her talent and spirit.

Catch Redd singin’ and slingin’ on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. Open Mic Night is on Wednesday nights and local musicians will play on Saturday nights. So, to experience a little slice of SoWal unlike any other, stop by Redd’s Fueling Station and fill up on great food, drinks, and fun!
