The new urban town of Seaside is famous for its front porches, picket fences and pastel cottages, and as the setting for The Truman Show movie. Reminiscent of the pastel-colored Florida beach houses of the 1940s, our giveaway is at "Cabana Fever", located steps from Scenic 30A, the Natchez Beach Pavilion, and the Westside pool, and sits directly across from the Truman House.
The three bedroom cottage is furnished with vintage rattan and 1940’s club chairs alongside contemporary classics for a breezy, eclectic vibe. Many charming items were found at estate sales and antique shops. Lovingly selected artwork ranges from whimsical paint-by-number nautical pieces, to pop art, to antique collectibles.
Cabana Fever was extensively renovated in 2012 and maintains the vision of an old Florida beach house while introducing new appliances and electronics. A fireplace was added and the bathrooms were upgraded with marble, subway tiles, a skylight and a bay window. The ocean colors of aquas and blues were intensified throughout. You'll enjoy two queen bedrooms and a third bedroom with two twins in this original, stylish cottage.
