Adaro Art - A Story of Passion, Love and Serendipity

Francisco Adaro came into this world an artist. Born in Buenos Aries, Argentina, he reveled in the ample inspiration provided by the surrounding culture and people. Francisco began drawing and painting as a child and at age 15 decided to sell his work on the street.

He worked out of his mobile gallery on the streets of San Telmo and La Boca. He would sketch daily and sell his paintings as a street vendor, and after a time, became quite successful. Buenos Aires is a popular tourist destination, so there were always new people interested in local art and culture. Francisco received recognition and was asked to study art at the National University of Art in Buenos Aires, Prilidiano Puyrredon & UINA.
 
One fine day, a young lady named Brooke came by his booth with her mother. She was a 19-year-old American cheerleader and she captivated Francisco. Brooke and her mother fell in love with Francisco’s work and his passion for the arts. They purchased two large paintings from Francisco to ship back to the states. Francisco continued to create over the years and became successful enough to open his own gallery.
 

 
It was ten years later when Brooke returned to study wine. She had thought about Francisco often and learned upon arrival that his gallery was nearby. She went to the gallery with the intention to buy art. She walked in and Francisco remembered her right away. Within just a few days, a deep connection was established and the two were engaged.

Brooke moved from her South Walton roots just months later to be with her new beau. Francisco and Brooke were married a few months later and spent two years living in Buenos Aires together. Brooke often told Francisco about her hometown on the Gulf of Mexico - and after a time the pair decided to head to America and arrived in South Walton, Brooke’s beloved home.
 
Francisco quickly made a name in the SoWal art world, making friends fast and believers even faster. He was introduced to a local favorite artist, Allison Wickey, who immediately offered to hang his art in her gallery in Seacrest Beach. Adaro Art can also be found at the Atelier Gallery in Charleston, SC, The Art of Simple in Seaside, and Gordie Hinds Art Gallery in Seaside.
 

 
Since arriving in SoWal, Francisco has acquired the 2014 Painter of the Year award followed by the 2015 Artist of the Year award by Visit South Walton. Fransisco opened his own gallery in Uptown Grayton in early 2015 and continues to paint, draw and sketch daily. Brooke is a sommelier and also assists Francisco at the gallery. The two are looking forward to starting a family right here in South Walton. You can find Francisco in the gallery/studio almost daily, painting, sketching and creating.
