Fall Eco Adventures in Walton County

August 23, 2015 by SoWal Staff

The Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance (CBA) of Northwest Florida State College announces the fall session of its award winning eco-tourism initiative, Discover Roads Less Traveled: Eco-Adventures of Walton County.

“CBA’s eco-tours are intended to bring participants to local, off the beaten path environmental wonders,” states CBA’s eco-tour coordinator, Brandy Foley. “We hope that these tours will entice individuals to experience our local environment from a different perspective.”

Fit for all levels of experience! Discover the rich history of the pristine Coffeen Nature Preserve, learn about the rare coastal dune lakes of Walton County on a kayak tour, learn fishing skills in the surf at Grayton Beach State Park, or hike through the wet prairies at Point Washington State Forest. One of our newest additions is the Nonie’s Ark Animal EVEntures – an evening hiking tour geared towards educating kids on local fauna, but enjoyed by adults as well!
