Art in the Park Returns to WaterColor Mar 19

March 14, 2016 by Teresa Lischka

Celebrate spring at the 11th annual Art in the Park taking place in WaterColor Resort on Saturday, March 19 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. WaterColor, located along Scenic Highway 30A in the heart of South Walton, is the perfect backdrop for this beloved art festival held every year in South Walton, Florida.

This year, live music will be provided all day featuring Chris Alvarado, Kyle LaMonica, Dannica Lowery, and The Rips. Artist tents will stretch from the beach club on the Gulf all the way north through Cerulean Park to Western Lake Drive. You'll find works of art from many genres including paintings, charcoal, chalk, photography, glass, jewelry, custom furniture, pottery, wood and much more. It's a great place to talk to the artists, see their latest works, and find that unique piece for your home.

Cerulean Park is the centerpiece of Art in the Park and art lovers appreciate the display of unique artwork among live oaks, flowering gardens, and a watercourse through the park with footbridges and benches for resting. You can explore some of the trails off the beaten path, explore the BoatHouse, or take the footbridge over to more remote places along the shores of Western Lake. What a wonderful time of year for art and music in one of the most beautiful places in South Walton, Florida.

Art in the Park is hosted by the WaterColor Community Association, and is free and open to the public. Stop in and visit WaterColor Merchants for some of the best shopping around, have lunch at Wine World or have a respite in the Wine Bar. After the festival, you may enjoy relaxing at The Gathering Place for an appetizer, sushi or cocktails. Or make reservations for more upscale dining at Fish Out of Water on the Gulf of Mexico.

Follow Art in the Park on Facebook for updates on this year's event, live music and more.
