January Music Lineup at The Bay: Restaurant, Bar & Beach

January 2, 2022 by SoWal Staff

January is the premier month for live music in South Walton. The 30A Songwriters Festival is a tidal wave of tunes and venues in SoWal have a ton of live music all month.  See our constantly updated SoWal Events Calendar for the latest info.

The Bay is a favorite spot for locals and visitors - great food and great tunes with a wide bayfront beach, bonfires, a long dock and long cool drinks. It's right next to the 331 bridge in South Walton. And right across the street from two other Jim Shirley restaurants - North Beach Social and Farm & Fire where you'll also find excellent food, drinks and entertainment on the bayfront.

Come out to The Bay  with family and friends every Wednesday night starting at 5PM for dinner, cold drinks and a bonfire with various local musicians on the beach of the Choctawhatchee Bay. It's a midweek tradition in South Walton, Florida.

The Bay serves up mouth-watering Southern gulf coast cuisine, sushi, a 12-draft beer system, great wine selection and inventive cocktails. Table and bar seating is available inside and outside on the deck overlooking Choctawhatchee Bay. Reservations encouraged but will take walk-ins.

Sunday Pickin' at The Bay  features Mike Whitty & Friends on stage from 4-8pm every Sunday. It's a weekly jam session outdoors overlooking the Choctawhatchee Bay. Sunday Funday at The Bay all day starts with brunch from 11am til 2pm, with several special brunch options such as chicken and waffles or crabcake benedict.

Follow The Bay on Facebook and Instagram to stay informed. See the food + drink menus at baysouthwalton.com. Visit Chef Jim Shirley Enterprises to read about his group of South Walton restaurants, awards, cook books and more.

Chef Jim Shirley is a nationally-recognized restaurateur - owner of the Great Southern Café, The Meltdown on 30A, The Bay, Farm & Fire, and North Beach Social. He is also the co-owner of  Great Southern Restaurants, which owns The Fish House, The Atlas Oyster House, and The Fish House Deck Bar in Pensacola, Florida.

Chef Jim uses Southern accents with great skill and spirit, traveling far afield to graze and glean, absorb culinary ideas, select fine wines, and look for pockets of sustainable farming practices. As a Pensacola native, Chef Jim uses his knowledge of local waters and his families’ farming histories to promote “New Ruralism,” a movement to champion sustainable agriculture at the urban edge.
