Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort Announces Habitrot for Humanity Half Marathon and 5K

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, the #1 Resort on Florida’s Emerald Coast, announces Habitrot for Humanity, a half marathon and 5k race Saturday, Oct. 5, to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Sandestin invites running enthusiasts this fall to enjoy the mild, sunny weather and scenic trails all throughout the beautiful 2,400 acre resort. From the beach to the bay, runners will be able to soak in views of the resort including the: Gulf of Mexico, Choctawhatchee Bay, beautifully manicured golf courses, ponds, nature and so much more. 
 
Sandestin is a proven and popular destination for several fitness events, with more than 25 years of success of the Sandestin Triathlon in August and the Sandestin Beach Bicycle Tour in May.  
 
The 2013 Habitrot for Humanity Race Schedule includes:  
Friday, Oct. 4 4-8 p.m. Packet Pick-up and Pre-Race Party at Courtyard Marriott at Sandestin
 
Saturday, Oct. 5 Baytowne Marina at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort
 
6 a.m. - Race Day Packet Pick-up Available
7 a.m. - Half Marathon Starts
7:30 a.m. - 5k Run Starts
8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Post Race Party
 
In partnership with Habitat for Humanity, proceeds from the event will ultimately help build stronger lives for mothers, fathers and children in Walton County.
