Motor out from your dock with boat lift into the bay and on to the Gulf in Destin, or zip down the Intracoastal Waterway to Panama City Beach.

Tucker Bayou is a tranquil place with the best of natural Florida, and yet just a few minutes down the Scenic Highway from Seagrove Beach, Seaside, and Grayton Beach. Just down the road from this well-maintained Florida cottage is a county park and boat ramp on the bayou. The exact spot where the ferry scene from The Truman Show was filmed with Jim Carrey attempting to leave Seahaven for Fiji.

Just next to that spot from the Truman Show is the historic mansion and amazing, lush grounds of Eden Gardens State Park with hundreds of moss-draped live oaks and dozens of camellias, azaleas and many more beautiful examples of Florida flora. It was at this park in the early seventies where another (not-so) legendary movie was filmed - Frogs!

SoWal Insider Tip - catch a screening of Frogs on the lawn at the park under the stars - the Friends of Eden Gardens State Park show a few movies a year and always includes Frogs. ...  from the Review: Unsurprisingly, grumpy Southern chemical baron Jason Crockett (Ray Milland) is not terribly concerned with the environment. When Pickett Smith (Sam Elliott), a wildlife photographer in the area, stumbles upon the snakebitten corpse of Crockett's gardener, who was sent out to spray pesticide, he knows something is amiss. Smith attempts to warn Crockett and his family to postpone their Fourth of July celebrations as local animals begin behaving strangely, but Crockett stubbornly refuses.

Back to the bayou home ... it's nestled on more than a 1/2 acre of beautiful oaks, pines, red maples and magnolia trees indigenous to the area. The ground floor consists of over 1,000 sf covered parking, two separate enclosed dry storage rooms, covered patio and cooking area, open patio/decks,fire pit for outdoor enjoyment and entertainment. There's a large above-ground pool in garden area, and newly-rebuilt walkway and dock with 2 boat lifts. Water depth at dock averages 2-2.5'.

The home features custom Spanish Cedar exterior shutters, new colonial oak engineered wood flooring, Andersen doors and windows and surround sound throughout. The second level has an open kitchen with breakfast bar that flows into the dining/living space opening to screened porch with open decks - all with water views. The third level Master bedroom has a sizable walk-in closet. Master bath has Jacuzzi tub, separate walk-in shower and a second walk-in closet.

Relax on the covered porch off Master BR and take in the incredible scenery!
