Art Week South Walton | May 2018 SoWal Events

Art Week South Walton is an initiative of the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County with the purpose to bring communities, organizations and businesses together to present quality arts and entertainment to the community. Spanning at least ten days, Art Week will feature visual, performing and literary arts programming in diverse formats and in various venues throughout South Walton.

Seabreeze Jazz Festival Celebrates 20 Years April 18-22

Celebration is the theme as multi-platinum-selling, Grammy-winning Kool & The Gang and the Commodores join smooth jazz keyboardist Brian Culbertson, top-charting saxophonist Boney James, and legendary band Spyro Gyra for the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Seabreeze Jazz Festival.  

The "Ultimate Weekend of Smooth Jazz" returns to Panama City Beach, Florida  with over 25 stellar performances of top national contemporary jazz artists set for April 18th-22nd.  Presented by ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals.

30A St Patricks Day Parade & Festival Mar 17

Bust out your favorite green socks and hats, and practice your jig because everyone is Irish in South Walton for the annual 30A St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival this Saturday, March 17th!

The parade starts on Scenic 30A at 2 pm, just west of County Highway 83 (Blue Mountain Beach Road) and travels west to Gulf Place. The Grand Marshal of the parade this year will be Walton County Commissioner Tony Anderson.

Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park Feb 17

The Friends of Eden and Florida State Parks pay tribute to the Camellia Saturday, Feb. 17th from 10am to 2 pm at Eden Gardens State Park in Point Washington, North of US 98 via CR-395.

Visitors are invited to stroll through amazing Camellias, enjoy a Camellia floral arrangement demonstration, learn air layering, (a Camellia propagating technique), and Camellia waxing for bloom preservation.  Attend a program on Camellia care and other plant related topics by Marie Harrison, a Master Gardener and author of numerous Gardening Books.
