Come join all SoWal gumbo lovers for the 2016 Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival! It's one of the very best events of the entire year in South Walton, FL! What a great time tasting gumbo all around the Village of Baytowne Wharf, listening to live Zydeco music and having a cocktail. Visitors and gumbo-lovers from across the Southeast are expected to join in the festivities during the extended Presidents Day weekend.
Songwriters and music lovers from across the globe are focused on South Walton every January. The 7th edition of the 30A Songwriters Festival will be bigger and better, with more great music for SoWal beach lovers from January 15-17, 2016.
In our area, we are fortunate to have two premier beach destinations that merge almost seamlessly together. While they are neighbors, each offers a unique experience. The remarkable communities of which we speak are, of course, South Walton and Destin.

It's a repeat! Building Homes for Heroes took home Best of Show for the second year in a row at the 6th annual Festival of Trees at Grand Boulevard with their military themed Christmas Tree, complete with small wooden houses and flags. The design earned Building Homes for Heroes $2,500, aiding in their mission to build homes for returning disabled veterans.
The Merchants of Seaside are proud to present a fantastic, family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration in the twinkling, holiday town of Seaside. On Thurs., Dec. 31, the 6th Annual Countdown Seaside activities will welcome in 2016 with live entertainment, kid’s art projects, street performers and fireworks over the Gulf of Mexico.
Celebrate in the SoWal town of Seaside during the 25th Annual Seeing Red Wine Festival, Nov. 5-8, 2015, benefiting children in need in Northwest Florida. Aged like a good Bordeaux, the Seeing Red Wine Festival is produced in partnership with the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF).

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) is calling all kids to flitter to the SoWal beach town of Rosemary Beach for the annual Flutterby Arts Festival on Saturday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day on the East Long Green.
As expected, tickets have completely sold out for Seeing Red Wine Festival's Grand Tasting commemorating its 25th Anniversary. But never fear, tix are still available for the Sunday Fall Walkabout & Charity Wine Auction held at Hilton Sandestin on Nov. 8 from 2-5 p.m.
