Festival of the Arts at Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village Oct 24-25

Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF) continues its 20th anniversary with the 20th annual Festival of the Arts Oct. 24-25, 2015 at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin, Fla. One of the Southeast’s premier festivals, the two-day signature features exhibits of more than 100 artists from 12 states (and one from Europe) showcasing a diverse palette of artistic styles and mediums.

Pierce Family Children's Advocacy Center Slated to Open Spring 2016

The Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center’s Walton County construction site is making great progress in Defuniak Springs, Florida. The Pierce Family Children’s Advocacy Center, named after Jim and Tammy Pierce in honor of their generous $1 million donation, is slated to open in Spring 2016. To date, $2.1 million has been raised and/or pledged towards the $3 million capital campaign.

Witches of South Walton Trade Brooms for Bikes at 12th Annual Ride Oct 30

The Witches of South Walton is gathering for the12th Annual Witches of South Walton Ride taking off from Gulf Place on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 7:00 a.m. sharp. The Witches Brew is held on the eve of the ride at La Playa where witches can register for the ride and enjoy the night with cocktails and music. The Gathering Brunch takes place just after the Witches Ride, also at La Playa. 

Rick Montague Tells The Chattanooga Story at Seaside Institute Oct 16

Long-time Seaside homeowner Rick Montague will be the Seaside Institute’s featured speaker at its Spend an Evening program on Friday, October 16 during homeowners’ weekend. Montague will talk about the revitalization of his hometown, Chattanooga, Tenn. He will discuss the practices used to engage the public in the process and the subsequent results. This will be followed by an open discussion and reception with a Tennessee-inspired menu, including whiskey tastings.

Emerald Coast Theatre Company Presents Eleemosynary at Grand Boulevard in Oct

Break a leg! Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) is back with their season opener, Eleemosynary by renowned playwright Lee Blessing to be held at Grand Boulevard with several performances in October. The play examines the delicate relationship of three generations of women and features an all female cast of local and regional actresses.
