Eight Years of Happy, Healthy Kids Thanks to Children's Volunteer Health Network

Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) celebrated its 8th birthday and hosted a Shrimp Boil at Grayt Grounds of Monet Monet on April 22 to honor volunteers, providers and community partners who play a significant role in the organization’s success. Since inception in 2005, CVHN has helped over 5,000 local children and facilitated more than 27,500 medical, dental, vision and mental health care procedures for kids who have limited or no access to the health care they need and deserve.

CVHN Dental Clinic Honors Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation

Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) names treatment room in its CVHN Dental Clinic in honor of Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF). DCWAF awarded CVHN $179,000 in 2012 and a total of $395,000 since 2008. The funds have been utilized to support two of CVHN's major programs, the CVHN Dental Clinic and the 'Just for Grins' Mobile Dental Clinic, and other projects that help local uninsured and underinsured children gain access to medical, dental and mental health care services.

Project:STYLE Brings a Passion for Beauty to SoWal

Every girl dreams of her wedding day and how beautiful she will look. Jasmine Rizzuto makes that dream a reality. She has an eye for detail and a team of professionals who share her passion for beauty. Jasmine has worked in the beauty industry since 2005 and is proud to now  have a salon of her own. Project: STYLE, located in Panama City Beach, is an all new, modern salon and spa offering an array of beauty services. Jasmine and her team specialize in precision haircuts, expressive color, and award winning up-dos. 

Sacred Heart Gets “Down” for Breast Cancer Awareness

There were pink wigs, tutus, crazy hats, feather boas and some pretty impressive dance moves. Even Santa flew in for the occasion. Although they weren’t “Dancing in the Street,” they were dancing in the hall, the OR, the lab and even the chapel! The associates, physicians and volunteers at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast have been putting on quite a show for Medline’s Second Annual National Pink Glove Dance Video Competition. Nearly 200 participants have put on pink gloves and danced to "Down" by singer-songwriter Jay Sean for Sacred Heart’s Pink Glove Dance Video.

 

Sacred Heart to Host Breast Cancer Support Group October 16, 2012

To meet the growing needs of breast cancer patients and survivors in our community, Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast hosts a monthly breast cancer support group. The group’s next meeting will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the Olson Women’s Diagnostic Center at Sacred Heart.
