Help Clean Up The Bay On Earth Day April 22

Earth-lovers are asked to meet at the Baytowne Marina in the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort to celebrate Earth Day and lend a hand on Thursday. April 22 at 8:30 a.m.. Volunteers will help clean the shoreline by removing plastics and other debris harmful to local wildlife, bay water and natural resources along the Sandestin boundary of Choctawatchee Bay. Refreshments will be provided by Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

Blues on 30A at Gulf Place March 14

Join family and friends for the Ultimate Blues Festival at Gulf Place. BLUES on 30A takes place Sunday, March 14th from 1PM - 7:30PM on the Gulf Place Green featuring five Blues/Blues-Soul/Blues-Rock Bands. Spend the day enjoying kids games and activities and grub from multiple food trucks along side a crawfish boil.

Community Garden to Begin at Padgett Park

Cultivate Community Gardens (CCG), the first community garden in South Walton, announced the organization is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the J.W. Couch Foundation.

The funds will be used towards the initial construction of the community garden to be installed this spring at Padgett Park in Santa Rosa Beach.

“We are thrilled to help construct the first community garden in South Walton and believe it will be an amazing source of nutrition, education and wellness for all.” said Sean Couch, President of the J.W. Couch Foundation.

Mountainfilm on Tour Relocates to Watersound Origins for Drive-In Experience Nov 6

In honor of its 20th anniversary, this year’s Mountainfilm on Tour at WaterColor will be relocating to the Watersound Origins community for a celebratory Drive-In Viewing of this year’s lineup of extraordinary films.
