One of the biggest specialty retailers in the world, Williams Sonoma, is set to open in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin this spring. The company is known for their kitchenware including professional quality cookware, small kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, decor and gourmet foods. The announcement comes on the heels of a banner year for the town center, which opened seven new retail stores and restaurants in 2018.
Adventure. Action. Ocean Life. The International Ocean Film Tour kicks off its American tour in the Watersound Origins community. Similar to MountainFilm on Tour at WaterColor Inn & Resort, the event will feature films with inspiring protagonists, powerful stories, and stunning visuals all into one film program. Due to demand, the event will take place over 2 nights – the same films will be shown each night, allowing twice as many people to enjoy the event!
Mardi Gras festivities kick off this weekend in South Walton and along the Emerald Coast of Florida with parades, live music and parties in some of our beach towns, restaurants and bars. From Stinky's Fish Camp's Mardi Gras Headquarters, Baytowne's Mardi Gras Dog Parade and Fat Tuesday Baytowne Bash, to Mardi Gras Masquerade & Fireworks Festival at Destin Commons and outdoor concerts and rooftop parties. The Town Center at Grand Boulevard will be awash with thousands of beautiful white lights, bringing a festive and inviting spirit to the Boulevard. Enjoy a free, horse-drawn carriage ride around the Town Center while faux snow falls on the Festival of Trees display in Grand Park every Friday & Saturday evening Nov. 23rd - Dec. 15th between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
To add to the festivities, Emerald Coast Theatre Company’s Dickensian Carolers will sing popular holiday carols on these evenings between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The 11th annual Old Florida Holiday & Winter Market kicks off the season on Saturday, November 24th from 5-9pm in WaterColor’s Town Center and Cerulean Park with the perfect backdrop for a beautiful night. The Old Florida Holiday & Winter Market holiday extravaganza is complete with falling snow, a horse-drawn carriage, a bonfire with s’mores, pictures with Santa Claus, the lighting of the tree, live music, and beautiful luminary lighting throughout the WaterColor community.
Mountainfilm on Tour returns to WaterColor Marina Park Amphitheater on November 1-3, 2018, in partnership with official sponsors Delta and Visit South Walton. Gates open at 5:45 PM. Films begin at 7 PM.

Eggs on the Beach Cooking Competition, taking place at Seascape Resort in Miramar Beach on Sept. 29, has partnered with the World Food Championships. The Judge's First Place Winner will receive a golden ticket to compete in the World Barbecue Championship with a waived entry fee and a chance to win $10,000. The BBQ category winner will then face the other nine category winners at the Final Table for the grand prize of $100,000 in cash and prizes. In addition, the first and second place People's Choice Winners will be invited to compete this year in the World Barbecue Championship.
