November 9, 2015 by Teresa Lischka

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County announces that Tom Lynch, one of the nation’s premier watercolorists, will lead a four-day watercolor workshop, February 23 – 26, 2016, at the Bayou Arts Center in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

Lynch has written seven books, hosted an award-winning PBS TV Art Series and was recently listed as one of the  nation’s top 20 teachers by American Artist Magazine. He is currently featured on the new cable TV channel Visual Arts Network (VAN) and on the leading internet art education site ArtAcademyLive.com.

Tom’s workshop, “Watercolor Secrets Revealed,” invites students to experience the vast range of flexibility of watercolor in a fun atmosphere that welcomes the advanced beginner, intermediate and advanced painter. Each day includes demonstration paintings with detailed explanations of the “how” and “why” followed by individual attention so that each student understands and has an example of the day’s objective and a positive critique session. Tom will include tips on photography, on-location painting, matting and salvage techniques for discarded paintings.

“Watercolor Secrets Reveled” will take place February 23 – 26, 2016 (Tuesday – Friday), 9:30am – 4:30pm each day. The cost is $380 per student. The Bayou Arts Center is located at 105 Hogtown Bayou Lane off County Road 393 North in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

Please call the Cultural Arts Alliance at 850-622-5970 to register and for the supply list. Space is extremely limited. Information on all of CAA’s workshops and events can be found at CulturalArtsAlliance.com.
