Gulf World Marine Institute to Release Three Sea Turtles at Inlet Beach on Wednesday, Apr 13 at 9am - the public is invited!

Gulf World is happy to announce that two kemps ridley sea turtles and one green sea turtle have been medically cleared. They will be released back into the Gulf of Mexico this Wednesday, April 13th at 9:00 am. This event will take place on South Walton Lakeshore Drive at Inlet Beach.

Come sing the night away with Karaoke Steve at Steamboat Grill 30a in Seagrove Beach! Karaoke night is every Thursday night at Steamboat starting at 8pm and lasting til 1am. Grab your friends and join us!! Great food, drinks, music and lots of laughter!

Market Days of South Walton will take place on Saturday, Apr. 30 from 9am til 5pm at South Walton High School.

Market Days is an outdoor market event that was previously scheduled for Easter weekend but postponed to Apr. 30 due to weather. The one day event will be held in the football stadium of South Walton High School. 

The 2016 Seaside Writers Conference is slated for May 14-21 at the Seaside Academic Village in Seaside, Florida. The annual gathering of creative writers from all over the nation features award-winning writers in poetry and fiction and screenwriting who will offer a full week of intensive writing workshops, one day seminars, school outreach programs, and social events.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, the Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles will be at the Santa Clara Regional Beach Access in Seagrove Beach (3468 Scenic 30A East) from 7:30-9:00am hosting a Trash Bash Beach Clean Up.         

Even with the fantastic crew that cleans the beaches every night here in Walton County, there is still a lot we can do to help keep the beaches clean and safe for sea turtles during nesting season. 

On  Saturday, August 20, the Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles will be at the Inlet Beach Regional Beach Access  (W Park Place and Emerald Cove Lane) from 7:30-9:00am hosting a Trash Bash Beach Clean Up.         

Even with the fantastic crew that cleans the beaches every night here in Walton County, there is still a lot we can do to help keep the beaches clean and safe for sea turtles during nesting season. 

On  Saturday, June 18, the Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles will be at the Ed Walline Regional Beach Access  (4447 W Scenic Hwy 30A) from 7:30-9:00am hosting a Trash Bash Beach Clean Up.         

Even with the fantastic crew that cleans the beaches every night here in Walton County, there is still a lot we can do to help keep the beaches clean and safe for sea turtles during nesting season.
