Harbor Docks 28th Annual Caddyshack Golf Tournament & Annual Auction are the Most Successful Events

Harbor Docks recently hosted their 28th Annual Caddyshack Classic Golf Tournament and Annual Auction, which proved to be the most successful event to date raising $59,805 for local charities - Take A Kid Fishing Day and Destin Harvest. The two-part fundraiser began on Friday, August 23, 2013, with the Caddyshack Classic 18-Hole Golf Tournament at Emerald Bay Golf Club and continued through Saturday, August 24, 2013, with the 28th Annual Auction on the Big Deck at Harbor Docks.
 

Hard Rock Cafe Event Benefits Building Homes for Heroes

Hard Rock Café of Destin will host a fundraiser on Setptember 27 at 6:30 to benefit Building Homes for Heroes. This event will help to provide a local wounded veteran, Air Force Master Sgt. Joseph Deslauriers and his family with a new home. Attendees will enjoy food by Hard Rock Café, music by the band Continuum and a silent auction. Special guests include Retired Ranger PFC Todd Blackburn who served in Operation Restore Hope in Somalia (Blackhawk Down) and Maryann Makekau, author of When Your Dad Goes to War, Inspirational Speaker, and Founder of Hope Matters.

Check Out The Artist Bazaar Every Saturday At Gulf Place

The Artists at Gulf Place kick off a new event called the “Artist Bazaar” beginning on September 7, occurring every week on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The Artist Bazaar at Artists at Gulf Place will be a marketplace of local artists, craftspeople and artisan vendors. The weekly event will be held throughout the entire year, and seeks to highlight the art and culture of the colorful community of Gulf Place to both locals and visitors of South Walton.

Love All Tennis Round Robin Benefiting Food for Thought Sept. 21

Watercolor Tennis and Seaside Tennis are teaming up to hosting the Third Annual Love All Round Robin Tennis Tournament benefiting Food For Thought Outreach.  The tennis tournament will be held on the courts of both resorts on Saturday, September 21.  

Last year, the Love All Round Robin gained a lot of traction and in addition to raising thousands of dollars for FFT in just a matter of hours, helped bring awareness to an organization that not only serves Walton County, but also most recently expanded to help children in the Destin area.
