The Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K, presented by Seaside, is back, launching its 22nd year of racing.
Registration, presented by Visit South Walton, is now open for Race Weekend from February 16th through 18th, 2024, further establishing this event as a signature running event and paramount fundraiser in Northwest Florida. Every year, athletes from around the world converge in Seaside, Florida, assisting in funding The Seaside School, Inc., a pioneering and enduring public charter school in Walton County, Florida.
Join Camp Helen State Park staff for a Guided Kayak Eco Tour on Lake Powell, the largest coastal dune lake in North America. Must be 12 years of age or older and able to independently navigate your own kayak. Reservations are required - call the park at 850-233-5059.
Tours begin promptly at 9:00 AM, meet in the Visitor Center. Cash only fee is $30 and includes park entry, watercraft rental, life jacket, paddle and a donation to the Friends of Camp Helen State Park.
The Courtyard at Pescado is hosting a September Chef’s Table Series with Chef John Engle. Dinners will take place every Wednesday in September at 6:30 p.m. and are by reservation only. Seats are $150 per person plus 7% tax and 22% gratuity.

The annual CCA South Walton Kids Fishing Tournament takes place on Saturday, August 26th at Grayton Beach, Florida. Sponsored by the Coastal Conversation Association Florida, the fun begins at 12:00 p.m.
Join Grayton Beach State Park staff and volunteers to celebrate National Public Lands Day and help restore native longleaf habitat. Longleaf Restoration Project begins at 8AM on Saturday, September 16th.

Southern Sound Music Alliance presents Black Creek Music Festival on Friday, August 18th - Sunday, August 20th at The Outpost on Black Creek in Freeport, FL.
