The Merchants of Seaside have planned a fantastic, family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration in the twinkling town of Seaside. On Dec. 31, the 5th Annual Countdown will welcome in 2015 with live entertainment, kid's art projects, street performers and fireworks over the Gulf of Mexico. Festivities begin at 7 p.m. and last until the last firework lights up the sky.
Grand Boulevard’s fifth annual “Festival of Trees” will showcase 12 uniquely decorated Christmas trees from area non-profit organizations, Nov. 25 – Dec. 25 in Grand Park. The public is invited to attend the kick-off on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., as the trees are lighted, judged on their decorations and winners are announced at 6 p.m. A People’s Choice winner will be selected by the voting public that night as well.
The Friends of Eden invite the public to the annual Eden Gardens State Park Christmas Candlelight Open House on Saturday, December 20 from 5pm to 8pm. Enjoy the traditional walk through the luminaries through the Park to the Historic Wesley House and it’s beautifully decorated rooms. The 2nd Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration and Paddle Board Drop will take place at Midnight on Dec. 31 at Redd’s Fueling Station on Scenic Highway 30a in Blue Mountain Beach. Last year the "Drop The Paddle Board" event drew an enthusiastic crowd of revelers who witnessed the board drop to ring in the New Year.
