SoWal Lunchtime at Grayton Beer Brewpub

On Valentine’s Day the SoWal Staff lunched at Grayton Beer Brewpub for some local love.

We beat the dinner crowd and opted for lunchtime bites. (Or so we thought…they were actually pretty busy!) Healthy salads, handhelds, and hearty apps found their way to the table as we chatted over the devastating Red Bar fire, and where we couldn’t wait to dine next. (Basmati’s, we’re coming for ya!)

An Evening Stroll at The Red Bar in Grayton Beach

Remembering good times at The Red Bar in Grayton Beach which sadly burned to the ground in the early morning hours of February 13, 2019. A plan to rebuild is underway and to that we say CHEERS and we can't wait!

Check out our fun video of a July evening stroll - the street scene, Louis greeting folks at the bar, The Red Bar Jazz Band doing their nightly thing, the patios, panee' chicken with mounds of mashed potatoes, and sunset at the Western Lake outfall on the Gulf of Mexico.

Sometimes, a biscuit is just a biscuit, but NOT so at the Maple Street Biscuit Company!

Here, the mighty biscuit is top dog on the breakfast and lunch menu. Made fresh daily with artisan flower, real butter, and a few secret ingredients, the biscuits serve as a platform for a variety of real comfort food alternatives.

“We like to refer to our offerings as “comfort food with a twist,” explains Joseph Nelson, Community Leader for the new-to-SoWal restaurant.

Linger with Art, Friends, and Food at La Crema

La Crema in Rosemary Beach is a chic place to eat your way through Spain without ever leaving South Walton. It’s also a place to linger with friends new and old while celebrating this thing called life.

The SoWal Staff caught up with owner Christy Spell Terry – fresh from her honeymoon in Jamaica - and Jill Tanner of Clutch Media Works to enjoy good food and great company in the inviting space that now features the work of SoWal.com founder/photographer, Kurt Lischka.
