There's a new eatery in Seaside and they have what you need to spice up your next meal!
When Amavida Coffee & Tea changed locations within Seaside recently, Jay Eichelberger and company saw an opening for their Cocina Cubana eatery which opened with a limited menu shortly before Labor Day, 2019. Their (Jay, his wife Liz, his mother Lupe and Chef Rob Masone) have now developed a full-bore Cubana Menu.
It's Seaside's 30th Anniversary. The small SoWal beach town kicked off the new urbanist movement and has hosted generations of families. Kids are now bringing their kids. Our hearts are firmly rooted in the tree-lined streets bordered by white picket fences.
There's not a much better place to spend a vacation, or just an afternoon. The southern sea breeze carries the pleasant smell of garlic and rosemary from the gulf front restaurants and the central square smells like southern barbecue.
North Beach Tortilla Co. is our SoWal hangout "with a beach" on the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, where “Tacos Grow on Trees and Tequila Always Wins.” Spoken like somebody who’s enjoyed a few good margaritas.
Edward’s Fine Food and Wine is an excellent and entertaining, fresh fine dining restaurant in the heart of Rosemary Beach.
Lunchtime at Red Fish Taco is a festive affair!
We like to hop over to the Blue Mountain Beach eatery as often as we can to get our fix of fun and tacos. Seems like too long since our last visit. If you haven't been to the hot spot in Redfish Village (where Trebeache' used to be), they’ve really brightened the place up. Whitewashed walls bounce light around the room and our favorite Justin Gaffrey pieces are still bringing the outside in.

Shaka Sushi and Noodle Bar is the place to hang loose and catch some positive vibes in Inlet Beach.
In addition to sushi, the menu features sashimi and nigiri, small plates, poke bowls, bento boxes, and ramen. The flavors of the menu might be complex, but the space itself is cool and clean, much like your palate after a bite of pickled ginger.
