The Emerald Coast will score an exciting, new sporting opportunity this fall as Whole Life Fitness, a locally based organization that promotes overall wellness for children and adults through recreational activities and education, launches the area’s first kickball club. The adult co-ed club’s season will begin Tuesday, Sept. 16, with following games held each Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the number of registered participants, on the regulation-size field at WindGarden Park at WaterSound Origins.
 

Do something great for kids! You can donate needed items by dropping them at The Meltdown on 30A in Seaside on September 13 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The Meltdown on 30A will be giving away a voucher for one free grilled sandwich per drop off.

South Walton Fashion Week (SWFW) calls for male and female models to apply for runway shows and the SWFW Model Competition to be held October 9-11. Models are required to submit an online application at swfw.org by Monday, September 1, 2014 to secure an audition time at one of the casting calls scheduled for Thursday, September 11 - 5-8pm.

The St. Joe Company, Northwest Florida’s leading residential and commercial property developer, and The St. Joe Community Foundation have signed an agreement with The Humane Society of the United States, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, and Freeport based Nokuse Plantation to support the relocation and rehabilitation of the Gopher Tortoise, one of Florida’s threatened species.
 

“Healing With Art” opens Sept. 26 in the second floor atrium at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. More than 30 original works of art from local artists will be on display as part of the hospital’s Arts in Medicine program and the Cultural Arts Alliance’s (CAA) A+ Art commitment to expand awareness of the vast artistic talent found in Walton County.

South Walton is known for having the best things in life. Luxurious vacation homes, opulent shopping, stunning natural resources, and some of the best restaurants you'll find anywhere. The Repertory Theatre at Seaside has some tail-wagging delights to benefit Alaqua Animal Refuge. On Thursday, July 31, a performance of Seaside Shorts - a ‘bite-sized’ collection of short plays - will help raise money for the Freeport-based animal shelter, the area's only “no-kill” sanctuary – and currently home to more than 250 animals.
