Boshamps Seafood & Oyster House on the Destin Harbor will host the inaugural Choctawhatchee Watershed Music Festival on September 20 from 2pm-10pm. The benefit concert will promote the health and sustainability of local waterways via the mission and objectives of the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance (CBA) of Northwest Florida State College.
Sinfonia Gulf Coast is set to stir the senses with Seeing is Believing, the Northwest Florida orchestra’s ninth season, featuring an innovative lineup that will begin and end with vivid imagery set to music. The 3rd Annual Easy on 30A free benefit concert will take place July 3, 2014 from 6 - 10 p.m. at WaterColor's Marina Park. Performers include Tim Jackson, Geoff McBride, The First Note Band, Sharif Iman and Ike Bartley. Fabulous raffle and silent auction items donated by local businesses will benefit the Muscogee Indian Nation, LightHouse Family Retreat, and Alaqua Animal Refuge.
The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF) has extended the 19th Annual Concerts in the Village through July 17. The Thursday night concert series starts at 7 p.m. and bands perform live from the Dugas Pavilion at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin.
With more than 700 guests in attendance, the inaugural Great American Picnic at Watersound Origins was the place to be for a new South Walton family-friendly tradition. The free community event featured live music by the Forrest Williams Band, classic American picnic food by Watersound Origins Café and lots of family-friendly activities to entertain the kids. The evening ended with a truly spectacular fireworks show over Wind Garden Park.
