The HUB Revs It Up For Excellent Eats

June 4, 2016 by Sarah Robertson

"This place has something for everyone!” It's a high compliment and The HUB at Prominence on Scenic 30A delivers. The wide variety of freshly prepared food choices make it an excellent family-friendly place for large groups to go for a day or night out. At The HUB you don't have to choose between casual and quality cuisine - it's all good.

The HUB is a three-acre dining and entertainment epicenter brought to you by Brad Zeitlin, Jason Comer and Brys Stephens. Their vision is entering its second high season on Scenic 30A with even more fun amenities coming to life all the time. A state of the art 2000 square foot stage and 25 foot Jumbotron screen make help ensure the vibe is always hopping. The HUB staff know good food isn't the only important component in a diner's experience. They definitely have the atmosphere covered (and uncovered!)  with comfortable, chic furnishings for any weather rain or shine.

It seems any time you visit The HUB there is something going on. Their live music calendar is always packed and includes local favorites like Boukou Groove, Heritage, Dread Clampitt and many more. Taco Tuesdays translate into the best three dollar tacos. Happy Hour daily from 4-6 pm mean half off liquor and wine by the glass as well as $1 off beer. Between featuring major sports events, great classic movies or hosting lively corn hole tournaments, The HUB on 30A is a-buzz with activity from sun up to sundown.

And what's a party without good eats? The HUB's talented Executive Chef Michael Schultz moved to SoWal this past December and has brought major culinary chops with him. His cooking career started in Philadelphia while he was still a teenager and has included 5 star restaurants and working as the personal chef of well-known film director M. Night Shyamalan. Most recently chef spent six years in Key West  perfecting his way with coastal cuisine. He's excited to lead this team of more than 40 while making SoWal home.

Speaking of coastal cuisine, The HUB's seafood rolls are really something unique. They are available  with Gulf fresh shrimp, Florida blue crab or sweet lobster. The tender seafood is enhanced by a delicate sauce made from a little mayonnaise, citrus zest and the perfect amount of chopped parsley, cilantro, and tarragon. They are served on a toasty buttery bun and is sublime.

The HUB's wood fire pizza oven uses locally sourced pecan and three deliciously crafted pies are offered daily – Margarita, Pepperoni, and an ever-rotating artisan selection. The night we visited the special was a cheesy white pizza with artichokes, pimento peppers and finished with truffle oil – amazing stuff!

You've also gotta experience the Crave Burger and fries. Seasoned and cooked to perfection, this is an aptly named burger. You're gonna, ahem, crave one and the french fries are now a SoWal team favorite. Order this one to enjoy for yourself – you aren't going to feel like sharing!

Behind the scenes the culinary team is always busy making sure the food is on point. The beef brisket is a two day curing and smoking process and they make their sausage in house. The barbeque sauces used are all scratch-made too. Be sure to try the Sarsaparilla with its unique cola essence and their wicked-hot wing sauce made with scorpion peppers isn't for the faint of heart! Every detail is thought through at The HUB.

The HUB is also available for private events like birthday parties, reunions, receptions, or business meetings. Their staff will happily work with you to plan the perfect scene for your gathering. They can tailor the right experience for all sized groups; from 15 on up to 150. The HUB provides a fun, welcoming atmosphere, fantastic food and drinks, and the best live entertainment to suit whatever kind of party you want to throw. The catering options range from delicious passed hors d'oeurves (like coconut shrimp  and mini chicken sliders!) to family style platters with extra special treats like paella.

Open daily starting at 11 am, The HUB has a plate for every palate and they are busy helping guests make memories one guitar riff and delicious french fry at a time.

The HUB is located at 7000 East County Highway 30A. Visit their website at www.hub30a.com and be sure to follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for the latest live entertainment schedule and food and drink specials.
