Shimmering Seas Jewelry and Gifts Sparkles at 30Avenue

30Avenue in Inlet Beach continues to add quality dining and shopping with several local businesses opening new locations or moving existing operations to the upscale destination. Shimmering Seas Jewlery and Gifts is the most recent SoWal retailer to take up residence at 30Avenue, located on US Hwy 98 just north of Rosemary Beach, at the eastern end of Scenic 30A.

Fishin' the Fronts in South Walton

Once again, it's been a while since I wrote a report but it's that time of year here at the beach in SoWal. Not many vacationers and lots of cold fronts with windy conditions, surf and chilly mornings where it's just hard to want to launch the boat.

I showed up at the beach a couple mornings the past few weeks where I had locals that wanted to fish and calm seas but the North wind had blown so hard the day and night before there wasn't enough water left to float a boat!

SoWal Style - Vintage Charm in Seaside, Florida

The new urban town of Seaside is famous for its front porches, picket fences and classic cottages - and as the setting for The Truman Show movie. Capturing the spirit of the pastel-colored Florida beach houses of the 1940s, "Cabana Fever" is located steps from Scenic 30A, the Natchez Beach Pavilion, and the westside pool, and sits directly across from the Truman House.

Roads Less Traveled In South Walton

South Walton is beautiful in ways that challenge the imagination. Word has gotten out about our sleepy collection of sophisticated-yet-casual communities whose prominent allure is the pristine white-sand beach and its complement – the glistening emerald-hued Gulf. While the shore whets travelers’ appetites, it’s what’s off the beach that may be most deserving of our attention.
