Sinfonia Gulf Coast Receives National Endowment for the Arts Grant

Sinfonia Gulf Coast is one of only 163 nonprofit organizations nationwide to receive an National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Challenge America grant. Sinfonia Gulf Coast is recommended for a $10,000 grant to support its January 23, 2015 performance of the world premiere of American composer Nico Muhly's electric violin concerto "Seeing is Believing," featuring award-winning electric violinist Tracy Silverman.

Let Your Artist Soul Soar at Bayou Arts Center

There's no prettier setting to let your artist soul soar than the Bayou Arts Center on Hogtown Bayou! The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) offers a dynamic collection of workshops throughout the year called “CAA’s Workshop Wave.” Most half-day classes are $30 for CAA members and  $35 for non-members. Most full day classes are $60 for members and $70 for non-members. All classes are open to the public to reserve.

“Handel’s Messiah & More” Holiday Concert at St. Paul Lutheran Nov. 21

The Northwest Florida Symphony Chorale will present portions of Handel’s Messiah along with Messe de Minuit pour Noël (Midnight Mass for Christmas) at a free concert Friday, November 21 at 7:30 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Niceville. The Chorale, soloists, and instrumentalists from the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by NWF State College music professor Lois Henry.
 

Flutterby Children's Art Festival at Rosemary Beach Nov 8 & 9

As the beautiful Monarch butterflies make their way to the Gulf Coast this fall, the Flutterby Children’s Art Festival flitters into the beautiful town of Rosemary Beach Novermber 8 and 9. It's a SoWal fall tradition where children and families celebrate among the monarchs and enjoy a weekend-long festival of fabulously fun activities on East Long Green in Rosemary Beach, Florida from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, and Sunday, Nov. 9.
