Just a few years ago, starting a scuba company wasn’t even on Andy McAlexander's radar, much less his bucket list. Funny what time will do, and Andy is all smiles now as he kicks back outside his new shop in Grayton Beach.
 

Andy and his partner Laurie Schmitz Janowski opened Grayton Scuba Co. on March at 26 Logan Lane at the Shops of Grayton in the old Shooz of Grayton location. The former shoe selections have been replaced by the latest in scuba/snorkeling gear.

Hartell’s Village Diner opened its doors in 2008 and quickly became one of the go-to places for family dining in The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Owners Michael and Jamie Sobik wanted to create a fun place where families could come, even after the late night festivities of the village got underway. Well, they got it right. With yummy food, good value and a retro vibe, Hartell’s has something for every member of the family. 

Risa's Interiors Creates Beautiful Homes

Risa’s Interiors has been creating dream homes on the Emerald Coast for more than 30 years. This past June, owner Risa Priestly decided to move her shop from a 3,000 sq. ft. cottage to a 12,000 sq. ft. Mediterranean-inspired showplace. The move created a huge demand for Risa’s remodeling and design services. We managed to catch up with one of the hardest working women in business, and she filled us in on how far she’s come, what keeps her grounded, and what she’s looking forward to next.
