45 Central is the place to sip, savor and socialize in the heart of Seaside.
An extensive wine list features 45 wines by the glass, allowing people to try and experiment and taste things they would never have the wherewithal to taste anywhere else.
That could mean a zinfandel from California, a Rioja from Spain, or a Montepulciano from Italy. Patrons can also purchase wines by the bottle, including house favorites like Cheval Des Andes, an Argentinean Bordeaux blend that typically goes for around $95 a bottle.
Many of 45 Central’s exclusive vintages are sold by the glass using Coravin Wine technology, a revolutionary system that pours without corking the bottle. All wines are available for purchase by the bottle and case to take home-the perfect way to remember a magical night in Seaside.
Owner & Chef Jim Shirley’s inspiration for 45 Central came to him as he was cooking. He designed the menu for sharing with the idea that patrons would have a wide variety from which to order and that everyone is presented with a little bit of everything. Libations and fresh local ingredients come together to create an intimate setting with big wine and small plates. Staying true to this principle earned the sophisticated wine bar a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2016.
The delicious Paella smell that fills the Seaside air leads straight to 45 Central Wine Bar every Wednesday, Friday & Sunday evening. Joyce, the Paella Queen starts cooking around 6 pm and serves around 6:45 pm in the courtyard. Sit outside and enjoy Seaside's bustling town circle or grab a seat inside at the cozy wine bar. Happy hour is from 4-6pm daily with half off all wines by the glass.
On Saturdays and Sundays, brunch is served from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., complete with $2 mimosas. Choose from waffles rubbed with sugar nibs and injected with chocolate filling, and favorites like the Croque Monsieur.
You can pop in and get something quick to take with you or sit down and dine in for maximum enjoyment. The lovely courtyard dining is perfect for having a leisurely meal with friends and family in Seaside's beautiful Central Square.
Also on the menu are small plates for snacking between sips. Both the Cheese Plate and Charcuterie are full of flavors that compliment fine wine. The Cheese Plate is piled high with American artisan cheeses, candied pecans, figs, and honey and goes well with the Charcuterie, a taste of five meats of the Chef's choosing, which might include Serrano Ham, Genoa Salami, Sopressata, Mortadella and Cured Chorizo. Small plates are available from 2-4pm. The full dinner menu including sushi is available from 4-kitchen close.
45 Central is perfect for groups, couples and those who prefer to fly solo. Take a seat at the handcrafted bar, grab a table for 10 or relax on the couch and admire the setting.
If you’re craving more of Chef Jim’s creations, visit 45 Central’s sister restaurants, each wonderful in their own right. The Bay is located on the shore of its namesake, Choctawhatchee Bay.
